Game Coins, Sweeps Coins and Diamonds
High 5 is one of the few sweepstakes casinos with three currencies instead of two:
- Game Coins (GC) are play money for fun. You get them free and can buy more. They have no cash value.
- Sweeps Coins (SC) are the promotional currency. They come free with sign-up, daily bonuses and coin packages, and winnings can be redeemed for prizes at 1 SC to $1 after you’ve played them through.
- Diamonds are boosts. You use them to unlock extra features such as free spins and power-ups in selected games. They can’t be redeemed.
Switching between Game Coin and Sweeps Coin mode takes a tap. Diamonds add a light gamification layer that you won’t find at most other sweepstakes casinos.
Games at High 5 Casino
With more than 1,500 slots, High 5 has one of the biggest libraries among sweepstakes casinos. Its own studio supplies many of them, including titles that are also popular in land-based casinos, and there are games from other well-known providers too. Some slots have Power Play features that you can activate with Diamonds. Table games and live dealer games are limited compared with sites like McLuck, so High 5 is mainly for slot fans.
Bonuses and free coins
New players get free Game Coins, Sweeps Coins and Diamonds without making a purchase. After that, High 5 is known for frequent free rewards: a daily login bonus, regular top-ups every few hours and events inside the app. Coin packages start low and come with bonus Sweeps Coins, but you never need one to play for prizes.
Redeeming Sweeps Coins
- Play your Sweeps Coins through before they become redeemable
- Redeem from 50 SC for a gift card
- Redeem from 100 SC for a cash prize by bank transfer or Skrill
- Verify your identity before your first redemption
The 100 SC cash minimum is on the higher side, but the 50 SC gift card option gives casual players an easier first target.
The High 5 Casino app
The High 5 Casino app is available on the App Store and Google Play. It’s polished and fast, with the full slot library, the Diamonds features and the daily rewards in one place. The app is a large download at close to 300 MB and needs iOS 15 or later.
One thing to check: the App Store listing describes the app as entertainment without real-money gambling or prizes. Depending on your state and device, Sweeps Coin play and prize redemptions may only be available on the High 5 website. Check the coin toggle in the app; if Sweeps Coins don’t appear, use the website for sweepstakes play.
How to get started at High 5 Casino
- Download High 5 Casino from the App Store or Google Play, or open the website.
- Sign up with your real name and address and allow location access.
- Claim the free Game Coins, Sweeps Coins and Diamonds.

Sweepstakes play isn’t available in a long list of states, including Arizona, California, Connecticut, Delaware, Idaho, Kentucky, Louisiana, Maryland, Michigan, Montana, Nevada, New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, Tennessee, Washington and West Virginia. Check the state list in the app before you sign up.
Is High 5 Casino safe?
High 5 Games has been making casino games for decades, and its apps have passed Apple’s and Google’s store reviews. Redemptions require ID verification and location checks keep out excluded states. Sweepstakes casinos aren’t licensed like real-money casinos, though, so redeem regularly rather than keeping a large balance.
Tips for playing responsibly
- Decide in advance how much, if anything, you’ll spend on coin packages each month
- Use the free daily bonuses before considering a purchase
- See Sweeps Coins as a bonus, not as a way to earn money
- Take a break when it stops being fun
High 5 vs other sweepstakes apps
High 5 has the biggest slot library of the sweepstakes apps we’ve reviewed and a unique Diamonds system. McLuck has lower redemption minimums and live dealer tables, while Crown Coins is the best-rated iPhone app. For real-money slots, see our slot machine apps guide, or compare all sweepstakes options in our guide to sweepstakes casino apps.
Who is High 5 Casino best for?
- Slot fans who want a huge library, including games they may know from land-based casinos
- Players who like extras, thanks to Diamonds, Power Play features and frequent rewards
- Android users, who get a native app that many rivals don’t offer
Players who mainly want table games, live dealers or the lowest possible cash minimum will find better options elsewhere.
Is High 5 Casino worth it?
If you love slots, High 5 Casino is one of the strongest sweepstakes apps: a huge library, well-known in-house games, generous free rewards and native apps on iPhone and Android. The 100 SC cash minimum, the long list of excluded states and the question of whether Sweeps play works in the app where you live are the main points to weigh.
