- RTP about 95.4%, high volatility

Mega Ball is Evolution’s live bingo-lottery game show, and it is one of the most played bingo-style games in online casinos. There is no separate Mega Ball app to download from the App Store or Google Play. You play it in the live casino section of a real-money casino app. A host draws 20 balls live, you watch your cards fill up, and then the Mega Ball can multiply a win by up to 100x.
What is Mega Ball?
Evolution launched Mega Ball in 2020 as its first lottery-style live game. It combines bingo cards, a keno-style ball draw and the big multipliers Evolution is known for from games such as Lightning Roulette and Crazy Time. Rounds take about a minute or two and run 24/7 from a live studio, so there is always a game starting.

Mega Ball rules
- Buy cards: choose a card value from $0.10 to $100 and buy anywhere from 1 to 200 cards. Each card is a 5×5 grid with numbers from 1 to 51 and no free space.
- Ball draw: the host starts the machine, and 20 of the 51 balls are drawn. Matching numbers are marked on your cards automatically.
- Lines: complete horizontal, vertical and diagonal lines. Each card has 12 possible lines, and the more lines you complete on one card, the higher the payout.
- Multiplier: before the Mega Ball, a random multiplier between 5x and 100x is chosen.
- Mega Ball: a final 21st ball is drawn. If it completes one or more extra lines on a card, that card’s win is multiplied. Some rounds have a second Mega Ball.
Mega Ball payouts
Base-game payouts grow fast with every extra line on the same card. One line returns your card stake, two lines pay 5x, three lines 50x, four lines 250x, five lines 1,000x and six lines 10,000x. The headline maximum of 1,000,000x is only possible when a Mega Ball multiplier lands on top of a card with six lines. That is extremely rare, so treat it as a lottery-style top prize rather than something to plan around.
Mega Ball RTP and odds
Mega Ball has a theoretical RTP of about 95.4%, which means a house edge of roughly 4.6%. That is a little lower than many slots and clearly lower than blackjack or baccarat. Volatility is high: most cards win nothing, a single line only returns your stake, and the big money comes from rare multi-line cards. Buying more cards per round does not improve the RTP. It only raises how much you stake per round.
Mega Ball strategy
Every card and every ball is random, so there is no strategy that beats the house edge. What you can control is your budget. Many cards at a low value give more small hits and smoother sessions. A few high-value cards make the game swingier. Decide in advance how much you want to spend per round, and do not raise card values to chase a Mega Ball that has not arrived.
How to play Mega Ball on your phone
Open a casino app that offers Evolution live games, go to the live casino or game shows lobby and choose Mega Ball. On a phone the cards are shown as a compact strip, and you can zoom into individual cards. The best cards are highlighted automatically, along with the numbers they still need. A stable Wi-Fi or 4G/5G connection matters, because you are watching a live video stream.
Evolution also has a First Person Mega Ball version with a computer-generated draw instead of a live host. It is useful if you want faster rounds or a demo-style feel, but the live version is the one most players look for.
Where to play Mega Ball for real money
Mega Ball is available in casino apps that carry Evolution’s live game shows, such as Jackpot City, Gaming Club and FanoBet. You need a funded real-money account and must be of legal gambling age in your country or state. Below this review you will find the three casino apps where we recommend playing Mega Ball.
Mega Ball vs other bingo games
If you like the live ball draw but want a board-game bonus round, MONOPOLY Big Baller builds on the same idea with up to four cards and a 3D MONOPOLY bonus. If you prefer to control the pace yourself, Slingo mixes bingo with slot spins. For bingo-themed slots, see Epic Joker Bingo and Bingo Staxx Thunder Power. Free social bingo apps are listed on our bingo apps page.
